It is with mixed emotions that JET PRESS announces the retirement of Andrew Mitchell, our Sales & Marketing Director today. After a career spanning over three decades with the company, Andrew leaves behind a legacy of innovation, leadership, and enduring relationships.
Andrew joined JET PRESS in May 1988 as a Product Manager. His initial role involved managing new product launches and engaging directly with customers, many of whom had never previously interacted with JET PRESS. This proactive approach not only strengthened customer relations but also set the stage for significant growth within the company.
By the early 1990s, Andrew had taken on the role of Sales Manager and was later promoted to Sales and Marketing Manager in 2000. His strategic vision was instrumental in expanding the company's product portfolio beyond its traditional focus on fasteners to include a broader range of hardware products. Andrew was key in forging partnerships with now long-standing suppliers such as Accuride, Salice and Titus.
In 2003, Andrew was appointed as a Director, solidifying his role within the management team. Over the years, he has been a pillar of strength for the company, fostering long-standing relationships with both customers and suppliers, which have been instrumental in the success both in the UK and internationally for JET PRESS.
Andrew's academic pursuits at Nottingham Trent University, where he earned a qualification in CIM Marketing in 2005, have underpinned his success and adaptability in a changing business landscape. His leadership was pivotal as he guided JET PRESS through the digital transformation that has redefined the industry. Reflecting on this evolution, Andrew noted, "The internet is the biggest change I’ve experienced. How customers find JET PRESS now is so different to when I first started. The digital era has enabled us to connect with our customers and partners more efficiently and effectively."
Outside of his professional life, Andrew is an avid fan of Nottingham Forest, attending matches across England and Europe and enjoys music, cycling and golf. His passion and enthusiasm extend beyond the workplace and into every aspect of his life.
As Andrew steps into retirement, JET PRESS extends its deepest gratitude for his dedication, leadership and the lasting impact he has made on the company. He has not only shaped our strategies and growth but also our corporate culture and values. We are immensely grateful for his years of service and wish him all the best in his well-deserved retirement.
Please join us in celebrating Andrew’s remarkable career and wishing him the best for the future!
