Growing the JET PRESS Team: A Warm Welcome to Michelle and Alicia

As JET PRESS continues to build its capabilities for the future, we are strengthening our team across key areas of the business. We are delighted to welcome Michelle Gordon as Management Accountant and Alicia Higgins as Internal Sales Team Leader for the UK.

Both Michelle and Alicia bring valuable experience to JET PRESS, supporting our continued growth and helping us deliver the high standards of service our customers expect.

Welcoming Michelle Gordon, Management Accountant

Michelle joins us with 20 years’ experience having worked in accounting within different industries, but this is her first role in Manufacturing. Her last job was a Management Accountant for Fire & Security at G4S, where she was part of a shared service centre before the function relocated overseas.

Michelle decided it was an opportunity for a change and she found exactly what she was looking for at JET PRESS.

"I was attracted to JET PRESS because of the culture and the feeling of being part of a big family," she says. "I really wanted to leave the corporate world behind." She's also looking forward to picking up new skills in areas of the role she hasn't tackled before, adding another string to her professional bow.

Her first impression of life at JET PRESS?

“Crazy, in a word! So much information to absorb and so much happening every day, but hopefully I’ll find my rhythm soon.”

It is a feeling many new starters will recognise and one the whole team is happy to help her through.

Outside work, Michelle has been putting her energy into home improvement projects. She recently tried her hand at wall panelling, with great results, and has also been working in the garden, planting bulbs and attempting to grow her own vegetables for the first time.

As for a fact that might surprise her new colleagues, Michelle lived in Singapore as a child and attended school there.

Welcoming Alicia Higgins, Internal Sales Team Leader

Alicia has joined JET PRESS as our Internal Sales Team Leader for the UK, taking responsibility for supporting the team, building strong customer relationships and helping to deliver excellent service across the UK market.

She joins us from ChargedEV, where she worked as a Senior Domestic Sales Executive, helping to bring renewable energy solutions such as solar installations and EV chargers to homes and businesses across the country.

The role gave Alicia valuable experience in sales, customer service and long-term relationship building. She also developed her leadership skills by managing a team and helping to maintain consistent performance.

“I was attracted to JET PRESS because of its strong reputation within the industry, its extensive product range and the opportunity to develop my career in a technical sales environment,” Alicia explains.

She was also drawn to the opportunity to take on a leadership role while continuing to expand her own knowledge.

Looking ahead, Alicia is keen to develop her product knowledge, help her team succeed and become a trusted point of contact for customers looking for the right solutions.

Her first few weeks have already given her plenty to smile about.

“Everyone has been welcoming and supportive and I’ve already learnt a huge amount about the business and product range. There’s been a lot to take in, but I’ve really enjoyed the challenge.”

Outside work, Alicia enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, taking on home renovation projects and enjoying quality time with her young son.

DIY is a real passion of hers and she particularly enjoys seeing a home improvement project develop from the initial idea through to the finished result.
