We have added two new products to our ranges – Plastic Lug Nuts and Sealing Screw Grommets.

Why use Plastic Lug Nuts?

Lug Nut_UNut        Plastic Lug Nut - S-Shape

Plastic Lug Nuts, also known as plastic U-Nuts are a form of clip-on nut or ‘sheet metal nut. They are designed to connect two or more sheets of material together. Available in standard and s-shaped design, they are easy to install by sliding onto the panel edge. Secure these Plastic Lug Nuts using a standard ISO metric thread into pre-drilled holes.

Manufactured from polyamide they do not scratch or mark the sheet material. In addition these lightweight Lug Nuts provide a tight and secure hold on the thread. Once installed they resist shock and vibration. These Plastic Lug Nuts are highly desirable for electronic applications as the material ensures isolation of the screw.

Plastic Lug Nuts can withstand temperatures from -50°C to +85°C. As a result these are ideal for applications such as motor vehicles, motor cycles, domestic appliances, electrical installations, electrical equipment and machinery.

Advantages of using Sealing Screw Grommets

Sealing Screw Grommets securely fasten items to panels.  The grommet is pushed into a hole in the panel and a screw is fixed into the grommet. The addition of a sealing washer prevents water or dust from entering the panel therefore providing protection.

This is an ideal fastening component to use within the motor industry. For example, a vehicle bulkhead where the closed end design combined with a sealing washer prevents water and dust from entering the passenger compartments.

Sealing Screw Grommets are easily assembled using a standard ISO metric screw. Available with either a round head or a square head, once mounted into the appropriate hole, the square body prevents rotation.

Sealing Screw Grommets are recommended for applications in domestic appliances, motor vehicles and electrical circuit boards.
