Advanced Engineering 2019 is the UK’s largest annual exhibition and conference for advanced manufacturers and supply chain professionals. Advanced Engineering runs 30th & 31st October in halls 2, 3 and 3a of the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham and JET PRESS will be on stand I74, between Halls 2 and 3.
There has rarely been a time when there is more innovation and disruption in manufacturing. The automotive industry is grappling with the challenges of moving from fossil fuel vehicles to hybrids and all electric vehicles.
Manufacturing is undergoing great changes, often referred to as Industry 4.0. This can involve machines talking to one another through the Internet of things. They use huge amounts of data to make autonomous decisions about things like performing their tasks and when they need servicing.
Innovative solutions for Advanced Engineering
The JET PRESS team have been working with Design Engineers to tackle these new challenges. Sometimes the solution is to create an innovative bespoke fastener so we use 3D prototyping equipment and work closely with customers and partners to design new solutions or adapt existing fasteners.
Making the most of existing technology
Because we have such a breadth and depth of experience we can often find a solution using tried and tested technology. Fasteners and components that have a proven track record of reliability and durability can be deployed in new environments to deliver a solution that delivers the performance required in a cost-effective way and still meets all the demands for space saving, weight saving and recyclability.
